Houston’s Hip-Hop Royalty Takes Center Stage at “One Time for the H” Concert

Last night, the NRG Arena pulsed with energy as Houston’s finest Hip-Hop legends took the stage for the *One Time for the H* concert—a night dedicated to celebrating the city’s rich musical legacy and giving back to the community. Produced by Je’Caryous Johnson and Angela Miles, this electrifying event brought together iconic names like Scarface, Slim Thug, Lil Flip, Mike Jones, Z-Ro, Lil Keke, and DJ Michael 5000 Watts for an unforgettable showcase of talent, unity, and hometown pride.  

DEVIN THE DUDE

From start to finish, the night was a high-energy love letter to Houston’s Hip-Hop scene. Scarface had the crowd hanging on every lyric, Slim Thug brought his signature swagger, and Z-Ro’s soulful delivery reminded everyone why he’s a true legend. The crowd went wild for Mike Jones’ throwbacks, while Lil Flip and Lil Keke delivered sets that kept the arena bouncing. Though Lil Troy was notably absent, the evening didn’t miss a beat with the rest of the lineup delivering hit after hit.

The concert wasn’t just about music—it was a celebration with purpose. Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for local students through the I’m Ready Foundation, Inc., showing how the power of Hip-Hop can make a real difference in the community.

Beyond the music, the sense of unity in the arena was palpable. Fans from all walks of life came together to honor the city’s influence on the culture, proving once again why Houston is a cornerstone of the Hip-Hop world.
