GRAMMY nominated artist Jhené Aiko celebrated the launch of her Teva x Jhené Aiko collection with a private event at NeueHouse in Los Angeles, California.
The ethereal cool girl wore an ATM bodysuit paired with Moussy denim and a Thompson Street Studio by Susan Cianciolo and Kiva Motnyk kimono from the Hammer Museum.
Jhené mingled with guests at the private event that took place on NeueHouse’s posh penthouse rooftop where she previewed the collection for an intimate crowd ahead of its May 2 public launch. Guests also enjoyed a vegan dinner with the artist who talked about the inspiration behind her second collection with Teva. Beau Big Sean also showed up to support and celebrate her new collection.
The Teva x Jhené Aiko collection is a fusion of Teva’s most iconic sandal silhouettes and the singer-songwriter’s daring yet eclectic style. Built with the adventurous soul in mind, the three exclusive shoe styles are available beginning May 2 at Teva.com, starting at $75.
Omarion, Jheneé and Chris try to keep it simple in the visual to their hit song ‘Post To Be.’ The trio have a great time in the video using a white backdrop and flashy dance moves. Omarion directed the video himself along with his buddies Jay Ahn and Taz. Get into the video below.
Big Sean’s upcoming Dark Sky Paradise is looking like it will be something amazing. He’s given us a taste of what to expect with ‘IDFWU’ and ‘Blessings’ and now he’s sharing ‘Win Some, Lose Some’ featuring Jhene Aiko. The Detroit native proves he’s been putting in work in the studio and it is all paying off. He has also cut an emotional record with the help of his G.O.O.D. brothers Kanye and John Legend on the track ‘One Man Can Change The World,’ that serves a tribute to his grandmother. Fans are truly able to see Big Sean’s versatility and dynamic flow. Listen to the track below and pre-order the new album for a free download of Sean’s song ‘On Man Can Change The World’ with Yeezy and John Legend.
Jheneé Aiko has been blessed with such an effortless success. Her Sailing Souls album topped charts and she’s not slowing down any time soon. For her new video ’Spotless Mind,’ her beauty and success continues to shine through as she casts her real-life baby’s father as her love interest. Jheneé takes on many alter egos in the video and it is fun seeing here play different roles. The two parents on-screen chemistry is crazy, but Jhené is in an adorable relationship with music producer, Dot Da Genius. In an interview with VIBE Vixen, Jhené shares more about her relationship with O’Ryan:
“A lot of people think my songs are about him and they’re not … When we had Nami, it was like we were already family. We weren’t together but we had always been friends. There are things we still have to work out but for the most part, I look at him and this is weird to say, but I literally look at him like a brother. It’s truly unconditional no matter who I meet. If I get married, he gets married, he has more kids, I have more kids, he will always be family.”
The Sadé of our time, Miss Jheneé Aiko, will be headlining her very own tour this winter and will be bringing along a few very important friends, SZA and The Internet. I’m sure we can also expect Drake and/or Childish Gambino to pop up on any given night of the tour. Unfortunately, no cities in the South will see this tour, but let’s hold on to the hopes of tour extensions in 2015. Jhené and friends will start their journey on December 2nd in D.C. and will end December 21st in Minneapolis. Catch all dates in between below.
