There’s a boom in medical marijuana dispensaries in the state of Californian and the U.S. These facilities have reached record numbers, cropping up like Starbucks or McDonald’s. States across the nation are legalizing medical and recreational marijuana. Our two unlikely heroes, Darius (DeRay Davis – “EMPIRE”, “21 Jump Street”, “GI Joe”) and Pat (Lil Duval – “Scary Movie 5″,”Meet the Blacks”), figure they can help the medical marijuana movement, but mainly help themselves by trying to grow their own cannabis and selling their crop to the dispensaries. Only one problem, knowing how to smoke weed doesn’t mean you know how to grow weed.
After taking a trip to “Dr. Doobie” (Malcolm McDowell – “Entourage”, “The Mentalist”, “Home Alone”) to become legally certified pot growers, they gain access to a Bel Air mansion to use as a “grow house.” Although they convince Snoop Dogg (played as himself) to fund their operation, our heroes soon discover what can grow wrong, will go wrong in this comedy of errors.
Soundtrack Available on Priority Records. New single “The Bong Song”
Sooooo let’s not ignore how Young Thug wants to be Lil Wayne so bad. So bad in fact, that he has released the cover art for his upcoming album Carter 6. To make matters worse, or better depending on how you see it, he’s naked on the cover. Cool. Album is set to drop April 17th. We can’t even right now, but to each his own. Good luck ThuggerThug.
On Easter Sunday, our second favorite ratchet-rapper Webbie went for a dip in the holy tub. He said he had a vivid dream Saturday night where God told him to go to church, get baptized, and turn his life around, and that’s exactly what the man did. Webbie attended service at Louisiana church and when the pastor asked if anybody wanted to be baptized, Webbie answered and was dunked on the spot, bandana and all. Hopefully, he’s taking this all seriously and is looking to make a change in his life. Webbie enjoyed a nice crawfish boil with friends and family after his baptism. Check out the footage below.
Frank Ocean been plotting on us real heavy. The singer/songwriter shared this photo and caption on his Tumblr page

One lucky fan had the time of her life at Common’s show in Detroit Tuesday night and let us tell you, WE ARE JEALOUS OVER HERE! Common brought the young lady on stage to serenade her with one of his jams. As she sang along, Common comes over, hangs on her shoulder, kisses her cheek. Apparently homegirl was startled and take her chances by turning her head just enough to get a few kisses in on the lips. Yes ladies, we feel the hurt too! The encounter was caught on tape so check it out below as we gather our senses.
The 2015 All-Star Game MVP, Mr. Russell Westbrook is known around the league for being a nice guy, mostly off of the court, and it seems his generosity is allowing carry him to bless fans. As part of his incentives of being MVP, the Oklahoma City star won a Kia and figured he didn’t need it as much as someone may. Westbrook gave the brand new car to a single mother, Kerstin Gonzalez, on Monday and she was excited to say the least. Gonzalez has two sons, ages 4 and 6, and receives assistance from a social services organization in Oklahoma City. She recently fell into a bind when her car broke down and she borrowed vehicles from family to get to her destinations. Big ups to Westbrook for being a blessing to someone in need! Watch the video below and tell us you didn’t cry afterwards.

Jay-Z continues to change the game and this week he’s done it in a major way. After months of speculation and rumors, Jay-Z finally revealed his new music streaming company TIDAL. Jay held a press conference along with his co-owners which included big name artists such as DeadMau5, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, J.Cole, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Beyonce. TIDAL will compete with similar services like Pandora and Spotify to provide total access music streaming and video shared with fans directly from the artists themselves. Subscriptions will go for $10 a month and will allow users all music, all of the time and also exclusive moments such as artists in-studio. Hov is constantly innovating and setting the bar in the world of music and culture. #TIDALforALL
Since making his big departure announcement in February, The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart has been on the hunt for someone to take over what he has made so legendary. He has found his replacement halfway across the world with the South African comedian Trevor Noah. Noah first made an appearance on The Daily Show in December of last year and has only been back on twice since then. Jon Stewart loved his commentary each appearance Noah made on the show and decided to give him the job of keeping the show going. No word on when Trevor is set to begin, but we’re sure he’ll do great. And it’s wonderful to see a bit more color in the politicomedy world!
Mardi Gras Part 1 was Juvenile’s step back into the game after a long time of being gone. The hood loved it so it’s only right to give us a second half. Juvenile links up with a few friends including Future, Birdman, and Mannie Fresh for part 2. Stream and download the new mixtape below!
The Rihanna takeover continues! The Bajan beauty is one of the hardest working women in the business and no one can dim her light right now. She currently has the top song on iTunes with “FourFiveSeconds,” just released her hot new single “Bitch Better Have My Money,” and now she’s topping the box office charts with her new animated film Home. The Dreamworks Animation film brought in $54 million domestically and $48.2 million internationally, making Home the number one movie in America! The Hollywood Reporter states:
The 3D title marks the best opening for a DWA film since Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted($60.3 million) in summer 2012, and the third-best showing ever for an original DWA title after Kung Fu Panda ($60.2 million) and Monsters vs. Aliens ($59.3 million), not accounting for inflation.
Come on Rih Rih! We are definitely staying tuned for her next move!
