Google Glass first came to our attention yesterday while watching CNN. Google’s new product class called “wearable electronics”, which they are beginning to seriously advertise, has one major obstacle to over comer, aesthetics.
So what do you do when you’re trying to market a highly functional product as “wearable electronics” that also falls into the realm of fashion and must be able to compete there as well?
If you’re Google, you put one of the giants of stylish eyewear, like
Warby Parker, on your team and let the makeover begin!
Google Glass is a small device worn over your right eye that puts the internet in your line of vision at all times. You can tell it to do things like take pictures, shoot videos, and give you directions.
With stylish endorsements from being featured on the Diane Von Furstenburg runway last September, and Warby Parker lending their expertise, we can’t wait to see what the next generation of eye wear will look like.
