Puff Daddy Kicks Off Billboard Weekend at LIGHT Nightclub

For the first time ever, Puff Daddy invaded Las Vegas hotspot, LIGHT where he hosted the evening for thousands of Saturday night partygoers. Arriving with son, Justin Combs, and entourage in tow, Puffy headed to the stage where he was presented with a Cîroc bottle parade.

The music mogul transformed the nightclub into a birthday celebration of the late Biggie Smalls. The crowd erupted when he jumped on stage and did the infamous Puffy dance to Small’s hits like “Juicy” and “Hypnotize”. Puffy hopped on the mic and lead the crowd in a Happy Birthday song before joking about partying all night and not sleeping until the Billboard awards. Following his performance, Puff Daddy hung out in VIP as the DJ kept playing Biggie’s classic songs until the early morning.

Earlier that night, hip hop artist OT Genesis, hit the stage where he performed his top hits “Cut It” and “Push It”. The Miami artist, who was dripping in diamonds stopped his performance to take selfies with fans. Other celebs in attendance were award winning DJ and Producer, Metro Boomin, Darius Walker and Candice King of Vampire Diaries who was celebrating her birthday in a nearby VIP.

[REVIEW] Curious About Kurios?

Kurios is sexy enough for a hot new date, but fun and eye-catching enough for the entire family.

This is not your ordinary clowns coming out of tiny cars, large animals tamed by a whip, or white faced mimes clowning around kinda circus.

This show is sleek and tantalizing; delivering a dream-like glimpse into the inside of the Seeker’s (mad scientist) imagination. Through the Seeker’s exhaustive imaginings we’re able to see acrobats, gymnasts, contortionists, singers, jugglers and more go back and forth in time with a futuristic steam punk flair.

There is even a little person, Mini Lili, that lives inside of another character’s belly (Microcosmos)..

Would you think a finger show would keep your attention? Ha! Theater of hands will do just that. Multiple hands take us through a lifetime worth of events in minutes. The mini-dramas are projected onto a cloud.

I have to say my favorite performance is of the group of fish a.k.a female contortionist bending and twisting on a giant hand.

Each scene and performance is completely unexpected and delightfully unusual. You will definitely leave with an expanded imagination and tons to talk about. There was so much more to see, and we know you’re Kurios, but we won’t ruin it for you.

The Motivated Mom Tour Super Mom Super Bowl LI Luncheon Edition

HOUSTON, TX, February 10, 2017—The Motivated Mom Tour Super Mom Super Bowl LI Luncheon Edition, powered by Prudential Financial, Inc., and supported by corporate partners Hilton Worldwide, Coca-Cola and BET Centric, scored a touchdown! in Houston, TX this past Super Bowl LI.  Over 100 attendees including moms, entrepreneurs and media professionals enjoyed a full afternoon of empowered networking at the chic red carpet event held at the Hess Club in the beautiful and bustling Galleria area.

Motivated mom Latoyia Dennis had the pleasure of hosting Johnette Patton (Usher Raymond’s mother), Crystal Wilson (Shanice’s mother), Rose Rock (Chris and Tony Rocks mother), Tyra Wardlow (Meagan Good’s mother), and Michele Thornton as the moderator on a panel geared towards women empowerment.

Women, but mothers in particular, are consumed by their kids, and tending to everyone else’s needs above their own. These moms said not today! It’s time to shift your thinking to self-restoration, and start living your BEST life! Yesss to that! A quote that resonated with me during the panel discussion was when Rose Rock, said “It’s never too late to start living your life! I’m 68, and my life isn’t over!” This really stayed with me because we all start some kind of life project that we feel isn’t quite where we want it to be, but hearing her say that gives me hope that it can get to my level of expectation.

There were all kinds of golden nuggets of information dropped throughout the evening. I really left feeling empowered and motivated to get started!

Official Winner’s List from the 74th Golden Globes Awards!

Everyone tuned into the first major award show of the season, the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards.  Donald Glover, and his hit TV show on FX “Atlanta” stole the night with wins in Best Actor and TV series in the Comedy & Musical categories.  What has everyone talking is his acceptance speech though, is when he goes on to thank the city of Atlanta, the black folks in it, and rap trio The Migos.

“I just really want to thank Atlanta and all the black folks in Atlanta. For real. Just for being alive and doing amazing [things] and being amazing people. I couldn’t be here without Atlanta. And I really want to thank the Migos—not for being in the show—but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.’ Like that’s the best song ever.” He calls them “The Beatles of this generation” and that “they don’t get a lot of respect.”

Unfortunately, Issa and the crew from “Insecure” didn’t take home any Golden Globes, but it is still one of my favorite shows to hit TV in a very long time.  Viola Davis also won for her supporting role in the hit stage play turned movie “Fences,” and Tracee Ellis Ross won for “Black-ish,” making her the first black actress to win in this category since Debbie Allen took home the trophy for Fame, in 1982.  She dedicated her Golden Globe to women of colour saying… “This is for all the women of colour and colourful people whose stories, ideas, and thoughts are not always considered worthy and valid and important. But I want you to know that I see you. We see you,” she said on stage.
